Offshelf is a reading tracker app designed with privacy in mind. Your reading data stays on your device—we have no way to see it, access it, or share it.
Overview
Data Stored Locally
The following data is stored locally on your device:
- Books you add to your library (titles, authors, page counts)
- Reading sessions (start time, end time, pages read)
- Your reading streaks and achievements
- App preferences and settings
This data is stored using SQLite and never leaves your device.
Camera Access
Offshelf requests camera access solely to scan book barcodes for easy book entry. Camera data is processed on-device and is not stored or transmitted.
Notifications
If enabled, Offshelf sends local notifications to remind you to read. These are generated on your device and do not involve any external servers.
